How to Remove Press-On Nails Safely

Removing your press-on nails gently is key to keeping your natural nails healthy and your set ready to wear again.

Avoid pulling or forcing them off. Instead, take a few extra minutes and follow this simple process.

Step 1: Soak in warm water

Fill a bowl with warm water and add a small amount of soap and a few drops of oil. Let your nails soak for 10–15 minutes to help loosen the adhesive.

Step 2: Gently lift

Using a cuticle stick, carefully lift the edges of each nail. If you feel resistance, allow them to soak a little longer. The nails should come off easily without force.

Step 3: Clean the nails

Remove any remaining adhesive from your natural nails by lightly buffing the surface. You can also gently clean the inside of the press-on nails to prepare them for reuse.

Step 4: Restore and hydrate

Finish by applying cuticle oil and hand cream. This helps maintain strong, healthy nails and keeps your hands looking polished.
